Mainland here I come!
And I'm now back at Catania Centrale waiting 40mins for my train heading back to the mainland

And I arrived into Catania about an hour ago and currently having breakfast at McDonald's - Croissant and Hot Chocolate! Soon be time to head back to the station for the Intercity train to the mainland and it crosses the sea in a boat (yes a boat!), This will be fun 😂
Morning
Sorry for lack of updates yesterday. I've got up nice and early at 04:30 local time and now at the train station waiting for the train to Catania, also on the Island.
Final Train
So I'm just arriving into my final destination by train. When I get off in 5 minutes I will be getting a boat over to the Isle of Sicily and then eventually to my hotel
Last train of evening
And so Im arriving into Paola to change trains to my last train of 2 hours to Villa S. Giovanni where I will catch a boat to the Isle of Sicily and then check into my hotel
Update
So my train did depart 30 minutes late due to adverse weather however we have caught up time and now only 11 minutes late meaning I'll make my 30mins connection at Sapri. Got an hour and half train once I make the connection. I'm nearly at the boat for Isle of Sicily which is my aim
Lack of updates
Apologies for the lack of updates! I was on the last train for 3 hours which departed on time however we got caught up in the eye of a thunder storm which caused disruption to the train service ending up being 30 minutes late. Now at Naples and on my next train departing in 10 minutes to Sapri down...

Hello and welcome back on this foggy Sunday Morning. I have just arrived into rome 15 minutes early. I now got to get the metro to the station then a train in 3 hours time to Naples. I am heading south. By this evening I will have reached my first out of five hotels on this trip!

I'm now at the coach station awaiting my overnight 9 1/2 coach journey to Rome. Can't wait for some sleep 😴
Hello again!
Hello again after 4 hours! I'm back and pleased to report that I am now arriving into Milan, capital of Italy. We are only 5 minutes late and now it's time for the Metro to catch my coach to start my Italy your starting with Rome!
Milano here I come again!
And so here is my long journey again back to milan. A 4 hour train journey awaits me. On it now and got 5mins till departure
Heading back
And now time to say bye to southern France & Italy whilst I make my way back up towards the capital Milan. Firstly this train which will take me 30mins to Imperia and then a wait of 1hr14mins before a 4hr train ride to Milano Centrale!
Monaco visit finished
And that's my 4hr visit to Monaco complete and a very expensive one indeed however it was very good and saw expensive cars - worth the visit! Now train back the way I came this morning

Hello and now I'm fully awake, and just got on my second train now at Ventimiglia, Italy. I am travelling to Monaco (home of the rich and famous 😉) and have 4 hours there to explore before returning. Hopefully I see some famous people haha
A very good early morning
Hello and a very good morning. I have just arrived into Genoa and got only 2 hours now till my train departs. A long time though to hang about in the early hours of the morning!
A delay to posting this morning
As promised my first post is at 02:00 local time. Unfortunately there has been a delay on the coach due to unforeseen circumstances. As a result I will not start posting updates until at least 03:20CET (02:20GMT)
Signing off briefly for tonight
M coach is due in 30mins and it's on time according to tracker so I'm going to now sign off for tonight. I will be back bringing you updates from 02:20CET (01:20GMT). Thats what time my coach arrives into Genova, Italy and I have 3hours until my train in the morning. Nice and early 😴
On train
Now on the train and about to depart. Decided to go straight to Nice, France as going back to Monaco tomorrow
Arriving at Ventimiglia
And now arriving at Ventimiglia and got half hour wait for my train to Monaco (place to see the rich and famous 😉)
Next train
And now got my next train which is the first delay I've encountered so far of 8 minutes. Going to Ventimiglia, a town near the French border
Finally arriving!
In the next 10 minutes I will be arriving into my destination then a 10 minute change for an hour half journey to near the border of France

Apologies for the lack of updates! This is because I am still in the same train so there is no point posting updates when there is nothing to update. An hour to go now though! My legs are killing me 😂
Milan
In 10 minutes time I will be arriving into Milano Centrale station on time. 8 minutes to change trains and then it's a 3 1/2 train journey to a small seaside town called Finale Ligure Marina.
Italy here I come!
And my train has now just arrived for my hour train trip to Milan, capital of Italy. I'm now going to say bye to Switzerland and I'm leaving it for good. This train takes me past the famous lake Como
Hello Basel!
And I've just crossed the border into Switzerland and arriving into Basel where I leave the service. I've got an hour before a train to Luzern going through the mountains. Should be in for some good scenery!

And now arriving at Bercy Seine Bus station ready for my coach which is scheduled to depart in 2 hours! Paris Metro never gets any easier to navigate and is incredibly hard and way harder than the London Underground which is saying something 🤣
France I'm here
Now arriving into Paris finally on the Eurostar. Next stop on my journey is Metro to get to Bercy Seine Bus Station to catch a coach overnight 7hours to Mulhouse (also in France, near border of Switzerland).
Europe here I come!
And I'm on the Eurostar, trains on time and due to depart in 5 minutes. Paris here I come!
